Jack Heverly, Junior High Leader
I grew up in western PA in Johnstown (yes, the town famous for floods). I trusted in Jesus Christ as my savior in the late 1980's through Christian radio. I am married and have 3 girls (Brianna, Megan and Melissa). My wife Lisa is also on Jr. High staff. We have a dog named Maggie (I don't count the 2 fish as pets). This is actually my second stint in the youth ministry. I was on staff in the early 1990's for 5 1/2 years. Lisa, Karen Quanstrom and I were on Jr High staff together. Todd and Judy Wolfram were on Sr. High staff at the time. We returned to the Youth Ministry in September 2008. My role as director of Jr. High is to help make sure that things are running according to plan. I'm part of a great staff and together we work to provide opportunities for any unsaved student to trust in Christ as their Savior and help the students grow in their relationship with the Lord. I believe God directed my steps to be part of the youth ministry, at this point in my life. I have great memories from my first time serving and really have a burden to see our kids growing in Christ. On top of that, it is a lot of fun!
John Ashton, Senior High Leader
John Ashton lives with his wife Marla and their five sons in Lambertville, NJ. He grew up in Levittown, PA and put his faith in Christ as a result of the youth ministry of a local church. John and Marla have served in a variety of areas at Crossing for about 13 years. They accepted oversight of the senior high youth program in August 2008. With children from 3 to 18 years old, the Ashton's have (and will have for some time) a particular interest in youth. John's goal is to see the youth ministry at Crossing play a helpful part in students truly growing into mature men and women of God with faith that is obvious in all aspects of their lives. On the lighter side, John loves the great outdoors and describes himself as a wannabe farmer. He and his family raise a few cattle and sometimes chickens and turkeys, but like most in the Lower Bucks area, he relies on an indoor day job to pay the bills.
